New President for Cumberland Shrine Club

Noble Paul C. Wennermark, a Fairfield Glade Resident, was installed as President of the Cumberland Shrine Club on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 by the Alhambra Temple Divan from Chattanooga, TN. Paul became a Master Mason June 1, 1982 at Hebron Lodge No. 354 F & A M in Mexico, MO. He completed his 32 Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite on May 21, 1983. Paul and his wife Marty moved from Mexico, NM to Fairfield Glade in June, 2004.
Also installed were Noble Rick Tomlinson as 1st Vice President, Noble Barjes Alotaibi as 2nd Vice President, Noble Bob Usher as Secretary, Noble Bruce Bennett as Treasurer and Nobles Dean Gilbert, Larry Sherrill and Thomas Bailey as Directors for 2010.
Immediate Past President Noble Leonard K. Stark, also of Fairfield Glade, presented the gavel to the incoming President. Stark gave to the members a “State of the Club” report covering the year 2009. He noted that from the candy and onion sales, bequests and other contributions, the club provided Shrine Hospitals, Alhambra Shrine Transportation Account, and other local entities with $17,000. Other activities, in which Nobles participated, were the Don Helms Steel Guitar Festival and Golf Tournament, Aluminum and Tabs collection, the Phil-ing Station Golf Tournament, and the Martin Elementary “Box Tops for Education” and “Can Tabs” collection, created funds that were sent directly to Shrine Hospitals and totaled $13,000. Collectively, the CSC Nobles efforts resulted in a net of $30,000 for year 2009 for Shrine Hospitals and Cumberland County Children.
