During the next several months, the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade will be presenting programs on the “Creative Exploration of the Cumberland Plateau through an Arts and Science Series”.
The first event in this series will be an evening with Bill Landry, who is the host/narrator of the Heartland Series that was conceived on WBIR-TV. This program is the winner of numerous awards, including five Emmy Awards and three Iris Awards, among others.
Mr. Landry will give a video/lecture presentation on “William Bartram – An Unlikely Explorer”. He was the first to see the Smoky Mountains and write about it as he was on his way to see the Overhill Cherokee in the 1700’s. He was the subject of the very first Heartland Series episode.
The Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center on Stonehenge Drive, Fairfield Glade is the location of this event on March 24 at 6:00 pm. Tickets can be obtained for $12.00 per person from the Plateau Creative Arts Center, 451 Lakeview Drive, Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. For additional information call 707-7249.
