Your library will benefit from your donation of previously read books, tapes and CD’s and so will you when you attend our Spring Book Sale on Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd. You may drop your donations at the Fairfield Glade Village Green Mall drop box, or the drop box at the Community Building next to the library on First Street in Crossville. If you have a larger quantity please call me at 931-707-7168 for pick-up. Through the years, your generous donations have funded special needs and projects not within the Library’s budget. Our new Library opening this year will have many projects of this nature.
The sale will begin on Friday, May 1st for Friends of the Library (FOL) members only from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Plan to become a member and you will have first choice of the best organized and most valuable book sale you can imagine. Shop early for best selection and don’t forget to shop the separate “vintage book room” filled with internet researched books of high value at much less than internet prices. The sale will be open to the public from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 2nd; and Sunday, May 3rd from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. On Sunday you can fill a paper grocery bag provided with remaining sale items for only $3.00. If you plan to attend Friday or Saturday, we encourage you to be environmentally responsible by bringing your own book bag if possible, or we will provide grocery bags.
Our knowledgeable FOL guides will be available to help you find exactly what you are looking for. This is possible because our book sorters are highly trained and have developed a non-time wasting system to help you locate your favorite fiction author or non-fiction topic. There is also a large print collection and a children’s collection. This is a user friendly sale in terms of locating your favorite subjects at great bargain prices. From paperbacks to the most current hardbound best sellers, the FOL Book Sale has the best assortment and best value in pre-owned books and other items found at your library.
